For us at SGS, our customers' personal integrity is important. Therefore, we would like to inform you of an important and positive change about how we will handle your personal information.

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a new EU regulation that will begin throughout the EU on 25 May 2018. GDPR replaces the Swedish Personal Information Act (PUL). Much is the same, but the requirements for how companies are allowed to process personal data will be much stricter. In spring 2017, we started a comprehensive work in order to review and adapt our systems and routines, as a result of GDPR, and we now adapt a stricter policy to our privacy guidelines.

We also educate all our staff about the stricter rules that will apply and how we employees at SGS from May 25 will continue to process personal data.

In June, a major and important upgrade was made on the Aptus system. This is the base for our keychains and digital locks. Unfortunately, the booking function for laundry cabinet that is linked to Aptus were broken but it is still possible to book from the booking board and "My pages". We are working to restore this function as soon as possible. We ask for indulgence.

Home insurance

Take care of yourself – take out a renters insurance!

Your peace of mind is important to us and therefore we have started a collaboration with Trygg Hansa where our tenants can take out an affordable home insurance. If you are a new tenant at SGS, Trygg Hansa is offering two months free renters insurance. The two free months also includes a supplementary insurance, that provides compensation if you lose or accidentally break any of your possessions. Read more about the insurance

Airbnb and Blocket

It has come to our attention that several of SGS housing is offered for subletting on websites like Airbnb and Blocket. We would like to point out that this is not allowed without the landlord's permission. As your landlord, we are obliged to know who lives in our homes and it provides an insecurity with strangers in our properties. It also increases the risk of interference and wear with increased costs. If subletting is done without our approval, you run the risk of losing your rental agreement.
